Gene Ray


Born and raised in Bedford County, Gene is the son of the late Robert Cecil Ray Sr. and the late Sarah Jane Ray. Growing up in Unionville and now residing in Pleasant Grove, Gene is familiar with all areas of the county. He has a diverse knowledge of home building and construction having worked for Bobo Construction Company in the early 1980s. After leaving the construction industry, he was employed by Calsonic North America for 19 years. In 2007, he left Calsonic to start and manage his own custom cabinet business, Vintage Custom Woodworking, where he enjoys helping people to achieve their kitchen dreams. Gene has always had a passion for real estate and now he is sharing that passion with you!

Gene is married to Shelia (Hasty) Ray, his wife of 33 years. They have three children, all of whom reside in Bedford County, and three grandchildren. Both have been active members of community organizations, and helped to found the PATS booster club at Liberty School.

In his free time, he enjoys hunting, farming, woodworking, and playing with his grandchildren.
